Derek Davenport, who has more money than he can spend in a few lifetimes, isn't having the best of luck when it comes to the opposite sex. During a drinking bender at his favorite bar Derek realizes the best thing to do is put an ad in the paper for an employee that will provide sex whenever he wants yet without a relationship. Arianne is experiencing tough breaks, out of a job, little money, and a boyfriend who decided to break up with her. Arianne happens to see Derek’s ad for employment, and with a lot of wine consumed, decides to put in her application. Arianne and Derek agree to the terms of employment and for weeks they are happy with the arrangement, but Arianne realizes she wants more, while Derek can’t seem to keep Arianne out of his thoughts.
A Kept Woman is a different type of rich man buys sex and falls in love with normal female. Derek comes across as such an insensitive jerk when we first meet him only to show that he is very caring and protective of those he loves. In my mind, Arianne is like a girlfriend and I wanted to scold her when I thought she did stupid things. Derek and Arianne’s sexual chemistry isn’t up front and center when they first meet but as the ‘employment’ continues we are firsthand witness to the steamy sexual acts that only get hotter with each scene.  When the sex delves into BDSM with bondage, spankings, and submission, you may need a toy or partner to relieve the ache. Derek and Arianne will take us with them to the islands and New York City as they discover the powerful bond that gets stronger each day. I enjoyed almost all of the secondary characters in the story however, there was one character I didn’t find had a place in the story and almost took Arianne in a different direction. A Kept Woman is an awesome read and I was sad to say goodbye to Arianne and Derek.

Black Dorn - Art

On a friend's blog - Pages of Romance - I saw she had created a Wordle out of some of the text of her story.  I loved it so much I made one of my next release - Black Dorn.
I love how it picked the heroine's name and made it the biggest word. The hero's name - Malack - is near the bottom.

Happy October. Here are my six sentences from my current erotic contemporary - Sexy Red Hood.

Andrew settled on the stool next to her and said, "So, to continue my Red Riding Hood theme. Obviously, you're Red Riding Hood. I'm the woodsman, which is funny because that's my name."

"This is me laughing." Red took her drink from the bartender and had a sip.

"Your grandmother's here, so all we have to do is find the wolf. And I think I know who it is?"
