To begin with, let me say, "I want a vampire" and by the end of Brenda Dyer's Love's Prophecy, you'll be saying the same thing.
Mel is a brooding, vampire warrior struggling to do what is right, but knows that everyone he loves or who comes near him dies – a gruesome death, I might add. To add to his torment, his sadistic, psychotic, cruel – feel free to add more bad adjectives – father's voice insults and demeans him constantly. All of this drives Mel into a dark emotional place where his duty is to fight for the protection of the human race – who don't know and don't care. Day after day, century after century he does his job. Then he meets – Dr. Breeana Spencer – a vet and part time singer and his bloodlust goes into overdrive.
The sexual harmony between these two is rare earth magnetic and nothing between heaven and hell can keep these two apart. Until – you knew there was an "until" :-) - until Mel discovers Breeana is the key to vampire, human and his own survival.
Love's Prophecy pulls you in, grips you by the throat and won't let go. There are scenes where you want to scream at the characters. And others where tears are threatening to trickle down your cheeks. Then there are the passionate scenes – 1 word description – hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Three favourite things about the story - 1 - Mel - Brenda has created such an intense character that the reader will feel his pain and emotional torment.
– 2 - it takes place in British Columbia. A province on Canada's west coast, where fellow Canadian Brenda lives.
- 3 -the line where Breeana describes Mel's voice – If sex had a voice, that's what it would sound like. (love it!)
This is not a I'll put this on my TBR list book – this is get the damn book and read it!

Dark warriors of might...
Mel is a vampire warrior sworn to hunt and kill demons in the dark streets of Vancouver. But he's burdened with a new assignment: find the meaning behind the Vampire Prophecy. Having no faith in the gods and their empty words, he believes there's no truth to the ancient legend until he meets Breeana, a human woman who bears the mark of the prophecy and resembles the mysterious woman haunting his dreams. When a vengeful demon spies Breeana in his arms, she is marked for death. He must take her from the world she knows until he can eliminate the threat. But the real danger is the role Breeana must play in fulfilling the prophecy and the intense feelings she brings out in him. Mel is forced to choose between his obligations to his kind, the world, and the woman he loves. Does he have the courage to let the one woman who could heal his wounded heart and soul go, or will he risk her life and bind her to him for all eternity?
Small warriors of light...
Veterinarian, Dr. Breeana Spencer yearns for love and companionship, but the disappointment of failed relationships has left her bitter. She now finds solace in romance novels. But when she meets a mysterious stranger, she's drawn to him by a connection so forceful it shatters all reason, leaving her incapable of resisting him. Yet there's more to him than smoldering good looks and a rock-hard body. As she's drawn deeper into his danger-filled world, she learns she's part of an ancient vampire legend. Breeana fears her future is no longer hers and will not include Mel. As their enemies close in, desperate to destroy them both, she must fight to convince Mel her place is at his side. A life-altering choice is before her—one that will take all her courage and love to make.

Desperately unemployed, Arianne, answers an ad that reads Woman Wanted. With miniscule hours and excellent pay, she accepts the position of courtesan to Derek, a handsomely dashing man, whom she finds out is a billionaire. Engaging in a game of cat and mouse, will they drive each other crazy…or will they fall in love first.
Excerpt:
Picking up the remote with one hand and the coffee mug with the other, she alternated between surfing channels and sipping wine. She stopped at two naked females passionately exploring each other’s body. Blankly staring at the screen she finished the bottle of red wine, consumed her precooked, fast-frozen meal in a container and had changed to white wine, without noticing the difference. Tossing the empty dish onto the coffee table, the fork bounced off and landed on the newspaper. She bent down to pick it up. The ad she had read to Taylor caught her eye. “What the hell.” She picked her laptop up off the coffee table, typed in the website then clicked on e-box twenty four.
Hi. I’m Derek. I’m looking for a woman. I don’t want a girlfriend or a lover. Just a mutually sexually satisfying companion. The work will be minimal and the pay will be excellent. If interested email me your name, an introduction - 100 words or less - and a photo to entice me to hire you.
Arianne drank her wine and stared at the laptop screen for fifteen minutes while she had a mental debate. The “yes” voice in her head won out. The wine may have helped. She linked the digital camera to the computer then walked to her room and stripped. She stood in front of the small mirror and tried to choose her sexiest pose. Having chosen the conservative one of standing with her hands at her sides, legs spread apart; Arianne positioned herself in front of the camera and clicked the trigger. In a moment the picture appeared on the screen.
Appraising her body, Arianne smiled - soft curves, ample breasts and a neatly trimmed puff of hair below her belly button. It was a sexy body, not ravishing like a movie star’s, but it had enticed a few of the male gender. With some careful editing she deleted the background of the picture until all she had was a naked, headless picture of herself. She attached the photo to an email and began to type her message.
My name is Arianne. I’m 25 and recently unemployed so I’m ready to explore any job opportunity. Especially one that will pay an excellent salary. I keep in shape. I like to party but I don’t do drugs. I’m not a virgin, but I am clean—no STD’s. I’ve never done anything like this before. I don’t jump into bed with every guy I meet. I’m just a regular girl pushed into a corner and is desperately looking for a way out.
How much is “excellent pay”?
She hit the send button. No turning back now. While online she did a daily depressing search of the job listings. As she was about to click off, she noticed her email icon was flashing.
Hello Arianne. This is Derek. I am 28 and employed. I also like to keep in shape, but I enjoy a lazy day doing nothing but watching TV. There will be no drugs involved—only sex. I don’t have the time or the patience for a relationship.
Job description - service me at least once a week - say every Tuesday. I will supply an apartment for our meetings. I don’t want to wine and dine you. There is no emotional involvement. I want to walk in, fuck and leave.
Pay - how does $8,000 a month - to start - sound? Reply.
Derek.

Black Dorn is back.
My books that disappeared during the PayPal/Smashwords debacle are back.
Black Dorn - my erotic historical.
Branwyn is purchased to be trained as a courtesan, but she doens't even know what sex is. Her frustrated trainer starts at beginner sex 101 and works her way up oral sex for personal enjoyment.
Then along comes the Prince - handsome - strong and not too happy with the female population until he rescues Branwyn. Life and romance flow along wonderfully until the purchaser of Branwyn comes to collect his sex mistress.
There's alot of sex and some playful sex games and a wonderful romance tied up in this story.
I'm glad she's back on Smashwords sell list.
I'll be posting about the other stories n the next few days.

Erin Go Bragh – St Pat's Day Bloghop
The magical link between St. Patrick and beer is steeped in history and tradition, but that's not why my St Patrick's Day blog is going to be about Irish beer. This links to my WIP – Capri's Fate.
Capri and her BBF, Kat, have a post-yoga, heart-to-heart in an Irish Pub, so I had to do a bit of research about Irish beer – for 2 reasons – 1) I'm not Irish and 2) I don't drink (never developed the taste for it.)
The only Irish beer I can name is Guinness (not Alec, the guy from Star Wars). It's a huge beer company that makes Guinness Extra Stout. If you're headed off to Ireland – surprisingly?? – the factory is the number 1 tourist attraction on the beautiful Irish Isle. Heck, it turns out you can become Facebook friends with Guinness and follow them on Twitter.
But even more fascinating – is you can cook with Guinness. This recipe is taken from the Guinness website
(www.guinness-storehouse.com/en/Cooking_Chocolate_Mousse.aspx)
CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
10 egg yolks
10 eggs whites, whisked
350 g (2.5 cups) dark chocolate (yum)
1/4 lb butter (look out hips)
100 g (1.2 cup) caster sugar (fine sugar)
100 ml (1/3 cup) Guinness Draught (which leaves the rest of the bottle for you)
Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a bain-marie (put onto of pot with hot water), add in Guinness Draught. Beat the egg yolks and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix melted chocolate mixture with egg yolks and slowly fold into whisked eggs whites until everything is smooth. Transfer to serving glasses and chill. Then lick the bowl clean (my addition to the recipe not theirs). In the picture, they served it in Guinness glasses topped with chocolate shavings and a couple of maraschino cherries.
After that luxuriousness, I searched the only other Irish beer I know – Kilkenny Cream Ale - and guess what – I ended up right back at Guinness. (Told you they were a big beer company.) It originated in Kilkenny, Ireland – reason number 2 to visit. I'm starting to sound like a travel agent.
I couldn't find a recipe using Kilkenny Cream Ale – so I found an Irish recipe that you can eat while enjoying your beer – Corned beef and Cabbage. The recipe is from Irish Central (www.irishcentral.com/food-and-drink/St-Patricks-Day-recipes---corned-beef-and-cabbage-140475252.html)
CORNED BEEF AND CABBAGE
4-pound corned beef brisket - 'silverside' if you can get it
3 large carrots cut into large chunks
6 to 8 small onions, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon powdered English mustard
1 large spring of fresh thyme and several parsley stalks tied together
1 cabbage
Salt and pepper to taste
Put the corned beef into a large pot with the carrots, onions, mustard powder and herbs. Cover with cold water; bring to a boil and then lower heat and simmer for 1 hour. From time to time, skim fat from top as it rises. Discard the outer leaves of the cabbage and cut into quarters, Add to the pot. Cook for another one to two hours or until the meat and vegetables are tender. Serve the corned beef cut into slices and surrounded by the vegetables. Serve with a generous amount of potatoes, boiled in their jackets and freshly made mustard.
Now that you have dinner, drink and dessert – on March 17th – Get your Irish on!

Smashwords author/publisher update: PayPal Reverses Proposed Censorship
Great news. Yesterday afternoon I met with PayPal at their office in San Jose, where they informed me of their decision to modify their policies to allow legal fiction.
Effective last night, we rolled back the Smashwords Terms of Service to its pre-February 24 state.
It's been a tumultuous, nerve-wracking few weeks as we worked to protect the right of writers to write and publish legal fiction.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to Smashwords authors, publishers and customers. You stood up and made your voice known. Thank you to every Smashwords author and publisher who wrote me to express opinions, even if we disagreed, and even if you were angry with me. You inspired me to carry your cause forward.
Smashwords authors, publishers and customers mobilized. You made telephone calls, wrote emails and letters, started and signed petitions, blogged, tweeted, Facebooked and drove the conversation. You made the difference. Without you, no one would have paid attention. I would also like to thank the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), The American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (ABFFE) and the National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC). These three advocacy groups were the first to stand up for our authors, publishers and customers. Their contribution cannot be overstated. We collaborated with them to build a coalition of like-minded organizations to support our mutual cause. Special kudos to Rainey Reitman of EFF for her energy, enthusiasm and leadership.
I would also like to thank all the bloggers and journalists out there who helped carry our story forward by lending their platforms to get the story out. Special thanks to TechCrunch, Slashdot, TechDirt, The Independent (UK), Reuters, Publishers Weekly, Dow Jones, The Digital Reader, CNET, Forbes, GalleyCat & EbookNewser and dozens of others too numerous to mention.
I would like to thank our friends at PayPal. They worked with us in good faith as they promised, engaged us in dialogue, made the effort to understand Smashwords and our mission, went to bat for our authors with the credit card companies and banks, and showed the courage to revise their policies.
This is a big, bold move by PayPal. It represents a watershed decision that protects the rights of writers to write, publish and distribute legal fiction. It also protects the rights of readers to purchase and enjoy all fiction in the privacy of their own imagination. It clarifies and rationalizes the role of financial services providers and pulls them out of the business of censoring legal fiction.
Following implementation of their new policies, PayPal will have the most liberal, pro-First-Amendment policies of the major payment processors. Will Google Checkout and Checkout by Amazon be next now that the credit card companies have clarified their positions, and have essentially given payment providers the permission to adopt more enlightened policies? Finally, thanks to Selena Kitt of Excessica and Remittance Girl for helping me to understand and respect all fiction more than I ever have before.
This is a bright day for indie publishing. In the old world, traditional publishers were the arbiters of literary merit. Today, thanks to the rise of indie ebooks, the world is moving toward a broader, more inclusive definition of literary merit. Smashwords gives writers the power and freedom to publish. Merit is decided by your readers. Just as it should be.
Thanks,
